interpreter drop; the price is a slower first render after a drop (cold reassemble 1,324 ms
against 1,073, n=10). render (2,696 ms against 1,450 cold) and discovery (12.4 MiB of heap)
are refused; both stay available through MEMORY_CACHE_BINS.
