Records that cron ran, as Cron::setCronLastTime() would.
It is one serialized integer in key_value, so it needs no PHP. Its absence made
AutomatedCron run drupal_cron() inline on the first request, which killed the render with an
Asyncify throw.
The row alone is inert: State is a CacheCollector over cache.bootstrap (cid state), so
\Drupal::state()->get('system.cron_last') never sees a key_value-only write and the status
report keeps saying "Cron has not run recently". The cache_bootstrap delete makes it visible
(module-converge.spec.ts fails without it).
